articles”?
 Spring Conference: already received approval from DOE.


No fee changes to the Spring Conference are anticipated.
Per Latonya, a request was made to have ABM’s on the committees.
Legislative Summary:
 Michele Roemer requested a contact list from ABM’s of individuals who could lobby for different
issues.
Spring Conference Summary:
 Kateryna Bechtel advised that the conference will be held again at the Borgata on June 1, 2, and 3
(Wednesday - Friday).
Kateryna Bechtel spoke about:
The current perspective of most Business Administrators being one by which they must evaluate which
essential basic services will receive funding from their scarce dollars. The topics that have their mindshare at
the moment are consolidation, shared services, and trying to keep activities going/saving programs. Kathy
recommended that vendors put together packages to serve several districts.
PRESIDENT’S REPORT
New President, Latonya Jackson, thanked Ronni Leddy for her 2 years of service.
Latonya introduced the officers for 2010-11:
Latonya Jackson – President
Bill Pappalardo – President Elect
Nancy Riccio – Vice President
Paul Napoli – Secretary
Christine Messina – Membership Committee Chair
Latonya presented the 2010-11 Associate Business Members meeting schedule as such:
Tuesday, September 14, 2010
Tuesday, November 9, 2010
Tuesday, January 11, 2011
Tuesday, March 8, 2011
Tuesday, May 10, 2011
Following through on her vision for the future which included increasing training seminar opportunities for
ABM’s, Latonya detailed plans to provide added value to the Associate Business Members in the form of two
future programs to take place after the traditional ABM meetings in Robbinsville on the following two dates:
Tuesday, January 11, 2011
Tuesday, March 8, 2011
The first event will be a training opportunity detailing the BA’s calendar year. A day in the life of a BA with a
little procurement 101 mixed in.
The second date will be more of a networking event in which ABM’s will be able to give a brief elevator
speech in order to educate other ABM’s as to what they do for a living so that we could recommend our peers
to BA’s should that sort of scenario present itself. A “B2B Subcommittee” was formed consisting of: Tara
Massey, Rob Lavecchia, Ben Marino, Christine Messina, Latonya Jackson, and Paul Napoli.
A “Conference Subcommittee” was also created in order to provide feedback to the association so that the
collective voice of the ABM’s is heard when decisions are being made for this years annual conference at the
Borgata. Those individuals making up this subcommittee are Ginny Nims, Alan Walker, Bill Pappalardo,
Latonya Jackson, and Paul Napoli.
