Councillor John Browne.
"I call on Longford County Council to have double yellow lines marked on
both sides of the road at the Government Offices on Ardnacassa Avenue,
extending from the shop and going around the corner into Springlawn
Housing Estate."
Councillor Gerry Warnock
“In the interest of public safety, I propose that Longford Municipal District,
with immediate effect, install two rumble strips at the stretch of road servicing
Grafton Court/Annaly Court/Midland Court.”
“I propose that Longford Municipal District on request of the Teffia Residents
Association, completely seal off the service lane leading from the Dublin Road
to the rear of those properties affected. This area has been a hive for antisocial
problems in recent times and I would recommend a gate similar to the other on
the opposite side of Teffia Park, with key access for the affected residents. “
“I am requesting a positive update on the following issues which I raised on
Longford Town Council, and received support of the members, but were
never followed through by Longford Municipal District:
 Inclusion of Pedestrian Crossing on the Park Road to cater for the
significant increase of residential units in recent years, with particular
conscience for those residents with mobility issues and visual impairments,
many of whom reside in the area
 Repairs to the Section of Footpath adjacent to No. 13 College Park which
is severely corroded and presents an urgent health and safety issue for
pedestrians, in particular for those with mobility issues
 That the council investigate and resolve the drainage issues at Golf View,
Glack where the inadequate storm drainage is causing potential health and
safety and flooding problems for the residents
