South Longford
County Longford Rural Transport routes for South Longord commenced on Friday the 19th October
Tuesday 23rd October and Wednesday 24th Octoberr. All seven routes are being travelled regularly
and at present are covering the following townlands.

ARDAGH NOTES
Carrickboy Via Ardagh to Longford – Commencing from Aughnacilla continues on to
Ballycloghan, Drumming, Garrycam, Ballygar/Banghill, Ardagh Village, Finneragh, and continuing
on to arrive in Longford Town at 11.00am.Return journey Departing from Tesco car park
Longford at 1.15pm.(Fridays)
NEWTOWNCASHEL NOTES
Newtowncashel Lower to Ballymahon - Commences from Derrymacar at 9.45am continues on to
Drumnee, Claras, Curoole, Tipper, Portanure, Pollagh, Carrodger, Ballagh, the Village Estate and
on to arrive in Ballymahon at 11.00am. Return journey departing from Cooneys Supermarket
Main Street at 1.15pm (Fridays)
LEGAN NOTES
Ratharney via Taghshinny to Ballymahon commences from Ratharney at 9.45am and continues
on to Colehill, Abbeyshrule, Taghshinny, Kilnacarrow, Toome Carrickedmond to arrive in
Ballymahon at 11.00am. Return journey departing from Cooneys Supermarket Main Street at
1.15pm.(Fridays)

Newtowncashel Upper to Lanesboro - Commences from Newpark at 9.45am and continues on to
Clonmee, Greenhall, Lisnagan, Cornadough, The Village, Carrodger, Derrydarragh, Collum The
Wood Road, Leab, Ballinahinch, Fortwilliam, Lismacmanus, Aughaloughlan, and on to Lanesboro.

Legan Via Carrickboy to Longford -Departing from Newport at 9.45am and continuing on to
Clontymullen, Carrageen, Ardandra, Legan Village via Carrickboy to arrrive in Longford at
11.00am return journey departing from Tesco carpark at 1.15pm (Wednesdays)
KENAGH
Kenagh to Longford – Commences from Kenagh at 9.45am and continues on to Abbeyderg, via
kearneys pub, Lislea, Cartronbrack Crossroads, Corina Cross, Kilcommcok, Foigha Cross,
Ledwithstown, Derryveigh, Derralough, Corlea Cross, Island, Mosstown, Ards and on to Longford
via McGiffs Cross to arrive in Longford at 11.00am. Return journey departing from Tesco car park
at 1.15pm.
