Chapter 15 – Section 1 Mini-Project
Materials:
 Textbook (pg. 450-453)
 11x17 paper (Your teacher will provide this for you)
 Colored pencils, markers and/or crayons
Project: On a piece of 11x17 paper you will be creating your own version of the layers of the atmosphere shown on page 450 of your textbook.
Project Steps:
1) Re-read textbook pages 450-453 and fill in the fact chart
2) Use the information in your fact chart to draw a picture of the layers of the atmosphere. Use the paper your teacher provided. Your poster should be colorful and neat. You will need to include the following:
 Layers of the atmosphere
 Height in km of the layers above the Earth
 The items found in each layer of the atmosphere.
(You will need to read pages 450-453 in your textbook to find this information)
