Adel Ahmed Al Zarouni, Chairman & MD Abu Dhabi Marina Real Estate Investments PJSC Mr. Adel Al Zarouni is the Chairman & MD of Abu Dhabi Marina Real Estate Investments PJSC. He has established, lead and navigated an independent company through the up and down cycle. He is a strategic thinker with a steep learning curve, and demonstrated a capability to deliver under the most demanding conditions. Mr. Al Zarouni is a pragmatic leader who understands tradeoffs, can implement change and face challenges head on. He believes in team performance while recognizing individual contribution and assign tasks based on capability and capacity to deliver by maintaining a macro view, paying attention to details and keeping an eye on the goal. In 2008 Mr. Al Zarouni established Abu Dhabi Marina Real Estate Investments as a private joint stock company with a paid up capital of AED 150 million. The main focus of ADMRI is the UAE & MENA. In 2006 Mr. Adel also created Burooj Properties, an organization with strength of 230 staff. He managed to achieve a Sales portfolio of AED 1.5 billion+, Investment portfolio of AED 4.5 billion, Development portfolio of AED 15 billion+ and Collateral portfolio of AED 16 billion+. Mr. Al Zarouni graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Math from UAE University in Al Ain in 1989, and then post graduation he completed a Master Certificate in Project management from George Washington University in 2002 and a Master Financial Professional Certificate from American Academy of Financial Management in 2004. He joined Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) as a Technical Support Manager in 1998 and was promoted Senior Vice President of IT in 2000. During his service at ADIB Mr. Al Zarouni was an active member in decision making and was a member in the following committees, “ADIB Senior Management Committee”, “ ADIB HR Committee”, “ADIB Credit and Investment committee” and “ADIB Assets and Liabilities committee”. In 2004 Mr. Al Zarouni was assigned the task of restructuring ADIB’s Real Estate Division, of which he was later appointed Senior Vice President.
