Description of the organization
The research activity of ICEADR is structured in fundamental and applied research in agriculture
and rural development. The priority research directions are:
 Interdisciplinary and multi-sector approach in agricultural economics, sustainable development
and bio- economy domains;
 Orientation of research directions towards national and European priorities:
- sustainable economic development, by strengthening the agricultural holdings and
improving the farmers activities;
- Sustainable rural development through the expansion and diversification of the rural
economy.
 Supporting and promoting associative / cooperation forms
 Increasing the research role in the development and transfer of results to agricultural producers,
industry and consumers.

Description of the expertise offered related to the topic (up to 1000 characters)
We present in synthesis the main domains approached within the institute (the efficient use of
land resources; the achievement and capitalization of agricultural production, economic substantiation
studies, and the efficient use of production factors) related to the topic:

organizing agricultural land as a generating factor of vegetal farms optimal profiling, their
location and territorial organization, the efficient exploitation of agricultural lands and identifying
measures which will lead to land concentration and to reducing the parceling phenomenon;


economic evaluation of agricultural land on favourability zones and forms of exploitation;
delimitation of optimal crop structures that can be practiced on favourability zones and
substantiation of economic-financial system to stimulate the efficient use of land resources;
 development of intensive agriculture correlated with the real demand for agricultural products
and with the internal and external market trends;
 substantiation of agricultural products prices and their correlation with industrial products
prices intended for agriculture and periodic adjustment of the ratio between their level;

identification of modern structures of supply, distribution and marketing of agricultural
products;
 optimal endowment with means of production, depending on the organization and modern
management requirements of agricultural production;

solutions and measures proposed to eliminate the gaps between prices of industrial products
intended for agriculture and agricultural products prices, gaps which affect largely the profitability level of
agricultural production and implicitly of agricultural farms;

Organizing and functioning of local networks of cooperation type for supplying agricultural
producers with seeds, chemical fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides, fuel, combined fodders, irrigation
installations and for capitalization and marketing of agricultural production.

conditions of the south area of country;

useful in decision-making process of crop production.
