Executive Director Arts Monongahela Inc. The Board of Directors of Arts Mon seeks a creative individual with a passion for the arts and an eye for detail to lead our non-profit organization. The director will report to a 15member board of directors, supervise one staff person, and coordinate the activities of interns and volunteers. The position is full-time (40 hours per week) with some evening and weekend commitments. The director interacts with many constituencies: members of the arts community, donors, government officials, business owners, Chamber of Commerce staff, and others. A background in the arts is preferred but we’re looking for someone who understands the role the arts play in our community. Qualifications: ! Experience in fundraising and grantwriting ! Experience in preparing and managing a budget ! Demonstrated ability to work independently ! Working knowledge of public relations and marketing ! Excellent written and oral communication skills ! Previous experience with non-profits, non-profit-management and/or a background in the arts and arts administration is preferred. Duties and Responsibilities: ! Manage a variety of projects including the economic impact study of the arts; ! Build connections between artists through announcements, grant opportunities; ! Work closely with city, county, and chamber officials to advance the arts in the community, ! Help the board develop and execute a strategic plan, ! Serve on arts-related committees at the local and state level, ! Make speeches, write letters, and edit a newsletter, ! Cultivate major donors and sponsors, ! Manage the website, and !
