Alumni Scholarships Eligibility Criteria for Queen Mary University of London The Alumni Scholarship is open to home and overseas students who are graduating from Queen Mary in July 2014 and those who graduated from the College in 2012 or 2013. To be eligible for the £1,000 Alumni Scholarship, you must be applying for a master’s programme within our Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences, Science and Engineering or Medicine and Dentistry. Part-time students will be eligible for 50% of the award; distance learning courses will not be included. You must not be in receipt of any other Queen Mary scholarship or full-fee scholarship from any other source. The exceptions to this are the International Science and Engineering Excellence Awards as these may be awarded in addition to the Alumni Scholarship. For example, Queen Mary alumni in receipt of the International Science and Engineering Excellence Award – Standard level (£2,000) will also be entitled to receive the full £1,000 Alumni Scholarship. Queen Mary alumni in receipt of the International Science and Engineering Excellence Award – Higher level (£5,000) will be entitled to receive 50% of the Alumni Scholarship (£500). Alumni in receipt of the International Mathematical Sciences Excellence Award (except for those students studying MSc Mathematical Finance) will also be eligible for the Alumni Scholarship. You will not be eligible for the Alumni Scholarship if you have received one in previous years. You do not have to submit a separate application for the Scholarship; you will be automatically considered at the point of offer. The award will be deducted from the tuition fees payable to Queen Mary. This is a partial award only and you must be able to finance the remainder of the tuition fees and living expenses yourself.
