Teaching requires effective communication. All applicants need to demonstrate high standards in reading, writing,

of 7 or better with no component at less than 7.

External Study
Some units in the course are available for external study. There are units in the course that require on campus
attendance and completion. Some School Experience units are to be completed in the Perth Metropolitan area.
I am interested in completing this unit mainly through external (off-campus) study.
I understand that not all units in this course may be offered in external mode and that some units require on campus
attendance and completion. (e.g. Transition to Teaching and some School Experience units).
I acknowledge that students at Murdoch University may be required to complete some units on campus
I acknowledge and accept the requirements that external students must complete Professional Experience units full
time and must complete at least one Professional Experience in the Perth Metropolitan area.

Applicants are required to meet the following inherent requirements:
Teaching is a complex and demanding profession, and teachers are expected to act ethically at all times with the best
interests of children in mind.
Prospective teachers are required to be literate and numerate individuals who are able to meet the Australian
Standards for entry into and graduation from teacher education.
A prospective teacher is also required to be a physically, emotionally and socially able individual who can handle the
rigors of school and classroom life.

In addition to these inherent requirements, all students must meet graduate teaching standards in order to graduate and
to be eligible to apply for registration as a teacher (http://trb.wa.gov.au/)

All Pre-service teachers must have two current mandatory checks on record in the Murdoch University School of
Education Professional Experience Office: Department of Education National Police History Check and a WA Working

There is no issue that will prevent me from entering this course if a place is offered.
