The purpose of the scholarship is to sponsor the works of students engaged in research and performance related arts, in order to improve the level of academic and creative performance. II. Eligibility: Only full-time Doctorate and Master’s Degree students of Taipei National University of the Arts are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Part-time students are not eligible. III. Application Criteria: A. Average grade of 80 points or more. B. Academic work(s) published / presented in an important seminar; or produced acclaimed art work(s) / performance(s). For Doctorate Degree students- In addition to the master's degree thesis, published academic papers shall include new papers written subsequent to entering the doctorate degree program. As for art work(s) / performance(s), these shall be new works created subsequent to entering the doctorate degree program, and a detailed comprehensive written article on the aforesaid work(s) shall be attached for reference. For Master’s Degree students- Published paper(s) (catalogues, portfolios, a list of thesis or the thesis of a seminar and workshop); art work(s) / performance(s) shall include (if possible) all forms of records (CD, tape, certificate, program, press commentary and etc.) C. Participation in school activities as well as recognized (by the organizer) as a contributor or made significant achievement(s) in such events. IV. Number of Awards and amount: Doctorate Degree Students: five persons for the scholarship, each an annual amount of NT 50,000. Master’s Degree Students: ten persons for the scholarship, each an annual amount of NT 30,000. In addition, there shall be 20 Master's Degree students for bursary amounting to NT 10,000 per person. V. Time of application: All application forms and the information shall be submitted to the office of each department from March 15 to April 15 each year. VI. Application Procedure: The applicant shall fill in a copy of the application form and all the necessary information in relation to the application shall be presented in a Power Point format. The applicant submits all application information to the office of each department. Each department shall submit an initial meeting record to Student Activity Section. VII. Evaluation / Shortlisting A. Each department shall hold an initial meeting to evaluate the applicants and shall decide on and rank the shortlisted applicants in the order of merit. B. The Dean of Student Affairs shall serve as convener. He or she will engage the Dean of the Studies and each Dean of department to form a review committee. C. The review committee shall review and adjust the number of scholarship and the awarded amount. VIII. If any scholarship award winner is unable to attend the award ceremony without any valid reason, he or she shall be deemed to have voluntarily given up award qualification. IX. The Regulations shall be implemented after approval by the Committee for University Administration Fund Meeting. The same procedure shall apply to future revisions.
