If you have not already completed new hire paperwork in HR, please arrive during this open registration and allow
45 minutes for processing. As part of this process you will need to bring proof of your identity and eligibility to
work in the U.S. (original documents only) in order to complete your Employment Eligibility Verification form (I-9).
For a list of acceptable documents, please visit:
https://www.pratt.edu/about_pratt/institutional_resources/human_resources/forms/
Under “New Hires” click on “I-9 Form”, then see page 9.
If you would like direct deposit of your paycheck, please bring a blank check with the word “void” written on it.
***The Library Resource Instruction session will introduce new faculty to the wide variety of services and
resources available through the Library. The session will include navigating the Libraries’ website, subscription
databases, course reserves, faculty liaisons, and more. Additionally, there will be time for Q&A if there are other
topics you’d like to hear about.
**In the LMS workshop faculty members will learn the basic skills required to develop content in their LMS course
sites. This includes learning how to upload course material (word documents, PDFs, images, etc.), create content in
the form of webpages or text pages and choose options to hide the material or make it visible to students. Faculty
will also learn how to organize class content using labels and how to display it in weekly or topical views. Finally,
faculty will learn how to manage the course site, specifically how and when to turn on the course, how to add guests
to the participants' list, how to update their own personal profile and send class emails among other tasks. The
workshop runs for an hour. It is highly recommended that faculty bring digital copies of course material such as a
syllabus, readings, images, etc. that they would like to post to their course site.
