A*Star Graduate Scholarship (AGS)
AGS - a collaboration between A*STAR Graduate Academy (A*GA) with the
respective graduate schools, NUS Graduate School for Integrative Science
& Engineering, & NTU Graduate School of Science & Technology - offers a
"4+2" scholarship. AGS comprises a four-year PhD study tenable at NUS &
NTU, and a two-year post-doctoral fellowship (PDF) in one of the top
overseas universities or research laboratories in the scholar's chosen field.
The PhD degree is awarded by NUS & NTU. Areas covered include
Biomedical Sciences, Physical Sciences and Engineering.

Eligibility
-
Singaporeans, Singapore PRs, and nationals of ASEAN countries;

Graduates with 1st Class Honours; or Graduates with 2nd Upper
Honours and Good 'A' Level results;

Open to graduates from NUS, NTU or top overseas universities;

Candidates must not concurrently hold any other scholarships or
fellowships;
-
Applicants should typically be below 30 years old.
Award Details
Successful candidates will be given support for up to four years of academic pursuit,
leading to a PhD. Award is renewable on an annual basis, subject to good progress.
Successful candidate will receive:
monthly allowance of S$3,000/month during the PhD;
full tuition; and
other allowances including
i) computer allowance
ii) thesis allowance
iii) book allowance
iv) conference allowance
where applicable;
- full support for overseas attachment.
Employment
Upon completion of the PDF, candidates will return to contribute to A*STAR's
Research Institutes (RIs) for a service commitment period of up to 3 years
