Chulalongkorn University and the Thai Studies Center Scholarship for Neighboring Countries for the Master’s Degree and Ph.D. programs in Thai Studies (International Program) Chulalongkorn University and the Thai Studies Center annually offers scholarships to eligible Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree graduates from Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Vietnam in order to pursue their studies in the International Programs for Master’s Degree and Ph.D. programs in Thai Studies. Period of Scholarships: Two years (four semesters) Provisions of the Scholarships: The scholarships will cover the following: 1. Tuition and Fees 2. Stipend and accommodation for the amount of 14,000 baht/month 3. An economy class round-trip ticket to and from the designated capital cities or principal cities (excluding domestic airfare in both neighboring countries and Thailand.) Travelling expenses incurred other than air tickets will be borne by recipients. Eligibility of Applicants: 1. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree 2. Applicants must have a grade point average for the last semester before applying of not lower than 2.75 for undergraduates, and not lower than 3.25 for postgraduates. 3. Applicants must have a good command of English: A minimum TOEFL score of 550 or 213 Computer-based or IELTS score of 6.0. 4. Applicant must be a government official or hold a position in a governmental or non-governmental agency beneficial to his/her country. 5. Applicants must return to teach/work in their home counties after graduation 6. Applicants must not exceed 35 years of age. 7. Applicants must be in good health. 8. Applicants must not be recipients of any other scholarships. Documents Required for Application: 1. Completed application form with a 3 cm x 4 cm size photograph. 2. Curriculum Vitae 3. Certificate of Graduation 4. Transcript of Academic Record of the last educational institution attended. 5. Photocopy of passport. 6. Two recommendation letters from the President/Rector/Director or Head of the applicant’s institution. 7. Physical examination certificate from a hospital in the applicant’s home country.
