We would like to thank all of them for their hard work and wish them all the best for the future. Mr Rod Kilshaw will be joining us at the beginning of the Autumn Term to take up his new position, teaching in Year 4. Miss Simone Policella, Mr Nathan Dyer, and Mrs Nicola Birkett will join us as Teaching Assistants in September. Mr Lou Douggan joined us recently as our new Site Agent. I am sure you will join us in welcoming them to the school. Library Books A reminder please to check under beds, on book shelves and in bags for any school library books which may still be lurking in the shadows! We do need to have all borrowed books back in to school in September so that we can complete our stock check in readiness for next academic year. School Lunches As you may be aware from September, all Foundation Stage, Years 1 and 2 children will be eligible for a free school meal. For years 3 and 4 Caterlink are increasing the cost of their school lunches from September 2014 to £2.15 per day. Please ensure all school lunches are paid for in advance. The cost per week will be £10.75. Cheques should be made payable to “Caterlink Ltd”. Futher information will follow in September, along with forms to complete. Reading It is very beneficial for the children to continue reading throughout the summer holidays and an enjoyable way to spend half an hour with your child! School Uniform Please ensure when you are buying new uniform over the summer to name each piece of clothing and equipment to enable any lost property to be returned to its owner. School bags and PE bags are available from the office and we recommend purchasing these as we have only a limited space to store bags in the classroom. Children’s Hair When choosing a hair cut for your child, please consider its suitability for school. Tracks and designs shaved into the hair are not appropriate styles for school. If your child has long hair please ensure that it is always tied back when in school. Thank you. Farewell To those children and their families who are moving on to pastures new, we will miss you and wish you every success for the future. Work hard, try your best and you will achieve great things! Brickhill Lower School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Thank You On behalf of staff and governors, I would like to thank you for your ongoing interest in the life of the school and your support of events. We value your partnership so that we can provide the very best educational opportunities for your child. END OF TERM!
