HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL DAY – MONDAY 27TH JANUARY This will take place at 1.00pm in Central Hall at the Dolphin Centre. The theme of this years ceremony is ‘Journeys’. It will include a testimony from Mrs J Slasenger, a representative from the Association of Jewish Refugees, readings, music and prayer. The Diocese is also holding a Memorial Evening at St Aidan’s Catholic Academy, Sunderland SR2 7HU on Thursday 23rd January at 7.00pm. The principal speaker will be Eugene Black a Holocaust Survivor and will be in the presence of Bishop Seamus and the Mayor & Mayoress of Sunderland.
