ST. AUGUSTINE’S R.C. PRIMARY SCHOOL OPEN AFTERNOONS
MONDAY 10TH NOVEMBER & TUESDAY 11TH NOVEMBER AT 2.00 P.M.
The school is holding two open sessions where prospective parents/carers of children due to
start school in September 2015, can have an opportunity to experience the school in action,
gather information about applying for school places in Darlington, and speak to senior
members of staff about eligibility for admission to St. Augustine’s School.
St. Augustine’s is a very popular school and in previous years some families have been
disappointed when their application for a place was unsuccessful. It is very important to check
with the school about its admissions criteria.
A map showing parish boundaries will be on display during these sessions and staff are
happy to answer any enquiries.
If you are unable to attend one of the open sessions, then please contact school with any
questions.
A copy of the Admissions policy and over-subscription criteria is also available on the school
website. Website: www.staugustinesprimary.co.uk

Tel: 01325 380819.

Imagine the scene; a crisp frosty night, Christmas is in the air, excited children in hats and
scarves hang onto their parents hands as they gather in a garden. They’ve all come to hear
one of the greatest stories ever told being retold, right there in front of them. A live moving
tableaux of people and song and lights in the sky. Sounds great doesn’t it ?Well that’s what
we’re aiming for at the Parish Centre on the 20th December (we’ll be adding mulled wine and
hot chocolate too).
However we need your help to make it happen, we need actors (don’t worry, only the narrator
has lines) and singers (don’t worry, you just need to be loud) and any other help we can get.
If you’d like to hear more about it please come to a short meeting on Thurs 11th Nov 7:00 pm
at the PC. If you’d like to help but can’t make that meeting please call 07909 747145. Our
“rehearsal” schedule is likely to be very light, so it won’t be a major commitment of your time,
and besides taking part in stuff like this is fun.
HCPT – THE CHILDREN’S PILGRIMAGE TRUST
Darlington HCPT Groups 25 and 195 are joining together for a fun race night evening! Do
you fancy yourself as an owner? You could sponsor a horse or even a race!
Please do come along on the 6th December to Holy Family Parish Centre.
Doors open from 6.30pm with the first race at 7.30pm.
Tickets £5 to include pie and peas supper with bar available.
For tickets and details on sponsoring contact: Anne Robinson on 07779358580
