The administration and the sixth-grade staff would like to introduce the “ WE DON’T TOLERATE BULLYING ” poster contest.

At Lisle Junior High School, the students, teachers, and staff take the matter of bullying very seriously. No one wants to be labeled the “school bully,” and, even more, no one wants to be the victim. This year, WE (the students, teachers, and staff of Lisle Junior High) are going to show the community that WE will not tolerate bullying!

The teachers and staff have been working to plan numerous activities throughout the year to continue to educate all of the Lisle school community about bullying and how to avoid it. Now it is your turn to show that you too want to promote a healthy, happy, bully-free environment here at Lisle Junior High.

Contest Rules and Guidelines:

z All sixth grade students must create a poster related to one of the following topics/ themes: o Cyber Bullying o Physical Bullying o Verbal/ Emotional/ Relational Bullying o Bystanders o Response to Bullying z Completed posters must be given to your 3 rd period teacher on Friday, September 21,

2012 . o Posters turned in after the deadline will not be considered in the judging. z All posters must have the following components to be considered in the judging: o Minimum one (1) picture or scene o Minimum one (1) fact/ statistic that related to your topic/ theme o One (1) original slogan or catchy title/phrase o All work must be completely hand-drawn

No computer-generated graphics, fonts, or characters

All posters that meet the above guidelines will be considered in the judging for prizes.

The top five ( 5 ) posters, one from each topic/ theme will be selected for a prize.
