Parents will receive a short report before the end of term with their child’s results. End of Year Reports to Parents End of year reports will be sent home with the children today. Included in the report pack is:End of year report Parent Response Form Details of classes for next year Collection Arrangements Form (for next year) A letter regarding the new National Curriculum for parents of children in years 3,4 and 5 Parents are asked to complete and return the response form acknowledging receipt of the report and complete and return the Collection Arrangements Form for the next academic year, so that this information can be passed to the new class teachers ready for September. There will be a drop in for parents to discuss any aspect of the report with the class teacher on Monday 22 nd June from 3.30pm – 4.30 pm. Staffing for September 2015 Mrs Geraghty will be leaving in July to take a short break from teaching. Mrs Eggington will be teaching the Beavers class Monday to Wednesday and we are currently recruiting a teacher to teach the class on Thursdays and Fridays. We will keep parents informed. Teaching and Learning Review There will be visitors in school on Thursday 25th June as we undertake our final teaching and learning review of the year. We have invited our School Improvement Partner, a Local Authority Improvement Officer and two local Head Teachers to join with the school’s Senior Leadership Team to visit lessons, scrutinize work in books, interview leaders at all levels and talk to the children to assess the improvements we have made in the quality of teaching and learning across the year. WE are committed to providing the best possible educational experiences we can for the children in our school. Staff Training On Wednesday, Mrs. Kerridge (Writing leader) and Mrs. Atkinson (Maths leader) will be meeting with subject leaders from across the county to compare standards in Writing and Maths achieved by the children in different years groups. This exercise will help to make sure we are assessing our children’s achievements accurately and in line with other schools.
