Thanks to all of your advisory classes - we have well over 60 gifts for area teenagers this
Christmas so much.. The LEO's Club appreciates all that you do! We will be accepting new,
unwrapped gifts for teens up until this Friday morning, Most Advisory classes have donated. The
following are ahead in gift donations -- so far !!!! Next Monday we will see who will get class
Christmas Treat !!!

LEO's club meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) after school -- Students need to sign up for the late
bus TODAY... and others are welcome to join at any time!! New Members are always welcome!

The Strand Theater is sponsoring a special showing of The Hunger Games:
Mockingjay Part 1 to benefit Paw Paw P.R.I.D.E. Bands on Saturday, December 13th,
at 3pm. Tickets are $3 at the door and will also be on sale Friday during lunch.

Student Council members do not forget that the senior dinner is this Thursday. Please
meet in Ms. Fortin's room right after school. If you have questions make sure you let her
know. If you cannot make it please let her know as soon as possible so she can fill your
spot.
8.
The cheerleaders looked outstanding at their scrimmage this weekend, this week the
girls will clean up their material and get ready for their first competition this Saturday at
Otsego High School. If you would like to come support the team, the meet will start at 10
am.
Cheerleaders do not forget that there is NO gymnastics today, today will be a normal
practice. Please meet in Ms. Fortin's room after school to watch this weekend’s footage.

Attention 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls…Girls On The Run is back! Enrollment packets are
in the office and space is limited and selection is on a first come first serve basis.
Payment and all completed forms are due by January 21, 2015.

The Paw Paw Middle School Winter Festival is Friday, December 12th from 2:30-4:30.
Tickets will be available for purchase on December 10th – December 12th during
Advisory class. Tickets are $3.00 each or you can bring in 4 non-perishable food items
to be donated to the Lion’s Club food baskets.
DJ Orpheus will be at the Winter Festival on Friday, December 12th. There is a sheet in
the cafeteria to make appropriate music suggestions.

Because of the Winter Festival, there will be no after-school in the Media
Center or late-bus run this Friday, Dec. 12th

Attention students and staff! Our LEO's club "Gifts for Teens" drive is off and running!
Thank you to so many of you who have dropped off an unwrapped gift for a teen. Our
boxes are filling up fast!!! So far -- we have Mrs. Lassiter's advisory class in the Lead
for bringing in gifts for teens, with very close ties with Mr. Daoust and Mrs. Harp-
Campbell's advisory classes. Don't forget to sign the clip board if you donate a gift!! We
are accepting them thru next Friday, December 12th.

Attention students. There will no longer be a late bus available for those riding
the Dinosaur bus. If you plan to stay after school, please make other
arrangements.

Sports Information
The following football players need to turn in missing uniform parts to Mr. Daoust:

Joseph Kowalkowski - Jersey #25
Kennen Loehrs - Pants #71
Attention 6th grade boys interested in playing youth basketball this winter. Please pick
up a registration form from the rack in the cafeteria or office. Completed forms can be
turned in to the office or at registration nights on December 8th.
Girls’ Basketball tryouts will begin after Winter Break. If you plan on trying out, please
make sure you have a Sports Physical form on file.

The 8th grade A Basketball team took on Allegan yesterday and came away with a victory 35-19.
Leading the scoring was Jacob Matheny and August Sylvester with 8 points each. Kurtis Carr and
Karson Barnhart each had 7 points. Come support the team Wednesday against Three Rivers.
"The 7th grade "B" team played great ball at Allegan last night. The Redskin boys won the game
30-1. They played tough defense, and all the boys got involved on offence. The team travels to
Three Rivers next, practice today at 2:30!"

Parent Information
You are invited to attend the 2014 Paw Paw Community Chorus Christmas Concert on
Sunday, December 7th @ 4:00pm at the Paw Paw Performing Arts Center. Admission is
free!
Please join the Band Boosters at their monthly meeting tonight Monday December 8th at
7pm in the high school band room.
The Middle School Student Council is having a Senior Dinner on December 11th @ 5:30
in the Middle School Cafeteria. Please RSVP by December 9th by calling the Middle
School Office at 657-8870.
The Middle School is having a Winter Festival on Friday, December 12th from 2:30-4:30.
If anyone is interested in volunteering to help out at the festival, please call the Middle
School Office @ 657-8870. Thank you!!
The PTO is having a contest for Box Tops, Campbell labels and Spartan UPC codes
from January 5th – January 30th. There will be prizes for the Advisory classes with the
most labels.
Here’s a preview of upcoming events that you might want to add to your calendar now:
December 9th – MS Choir/6th Grade Band Winter Concert; 7:00pm @ PAC
December 12th – Winter Festival 2:30-4:30. Please call the office @ 657-8870 if you
would like to volunteer to help out.
December 15th – MS Band Concert (7th & 8th Grade); 7:00pm @ PAC
December 22nd-Jan 2nd - Winter Break
