Good afternoon Paw Paw Middle School where our students are college career and
community ready. This is Mr. McDaniel with your afternoon announcements.

The 8th grade annual games, hosted by our PTO will be held on Wednesday, October
8th. Eighth grade advisory classes will be competing to see who comes out on top. Be
sure to represent your advisory class on Wednesday by wearing your assigned colors.
They are as follows, OLSEN - PINK, DIAZ - BLACK, VANDERMEULEN- YELLOW,
DEWITT - GREEN, BALEJA- RED, MCLEESE - NAVY BLUE, JACKSON - WHITE, and
REISTERER - ORANGE. It’s going to be a great competition! Students will get more
information from their Advisory teachers throughout the week.

The PPMS CherryDale Fundraiser is coming to end this week. We appreciate all
those students who’ve participated and helped raise funds that will be used towards
student activities and events throughout the year. Please bring your fundraiser
orders to your Advisory teacher Monday, October 6th. Be sure that all the order
information needed is included!
6.
Chess Club meeting will be after school this Wednesday in Mr. Taylor's room (704)
from 2:30 to 3:15. Be sure to sign up for the late bus in advance. All are welcome! We will
teach you how to play if you don't know how.

7th & 8th grade away at Otsego, game begins at 4:00pm, bus leaves at 3:00.

Parent Information
PTO parents we need your help with the 8th grade fall games day on
Wednesday, October 8th or the rain date is scheduled for Friday, October 10th.
Please call Amy Nielsen @ 269-377-1135.
Please continue to support our PTO fundraiser by helping your children with our
Cherrydale product sales. Encourage your student to contact relatives,
neighbors and maybe even take it to your work. Our goal is to raise $10,000.
This money will go to support extra events like our grade level games, bowling,
activity night, and also large purchases like the new Chromebook cart in the MS.
Sales will continue until Oct. 6th.
The Band Boosters will have their monthly band meeting tonight at 7pm in the high school band
room. Band parents who have volunteered to work the festival will meet for an informational
meeting at 6pm, before the monthly meeting.
Here’s a preview of upcoming events that you might want to add to your calendar now:
October 16th - 6th grade movie night (Dolphin Tale 2)
October 22nd and 24th - 8th graders will be visiting WMU’s campus
October 24th - 6th graders will be visiting Wolf Lake Fish Hatchery
October 24th - Harvest Fest After School Party
Further details and information will be sent out in the upcoming weeks.
On Thursday, October 16th, we will be having our KICK OFF meeting for our VERY
OWN Lions Club for students! This club for students is called Leo's Club. Mark it in
your calendar now -- students will meet after school to talk more about what the club
is about - and mainly how YOU can help your community and school. When planning
ahead to attend this first meeting, remember to sign up for a late bus pass if needed
and get parent permission to attend. If students or parents have any questions,
please contact our school counselor, Mrs. Anderson for more information.
