The John W. Lund Community Achievement Award Mr. John W. Lund, a friend of Clark University, made this award possible through a generous donation to the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, Inc., to endow an annual Community Achievement Award for a member of the Clark University community. Purpose: To recognize, reward and inspire the use of the talents and skills of the Clark University community for the benefit of the greater Worcester community. Eligibility: All Clark University faculty, staff and students who are currently enrolled or employed at the University. Award: A total of $5,560 for distribution to one or more award recipients. Nominations and Selection Procedures: Nominations will be solicited from students, faculty and staff, who may nominate an unlimited number of fellow students, faculty and staff, including themselves. An Awards Committee, selected by the President, will review the nominations and recommend the award recipients. Awards would be announced and distributed in the Fall, or in the case of a graduating senior, during the Honor Awards presentations prior to the graduation ceremony. The Awards Committee will be comprised of no fewer than three, and up to six people, representing each of the three groups, who will be responsible for reviewing nominations and making the final recommendations to the President. Criteria for Award: The award recipient must have made an important contribution toward improving the quality of life in the Greater Worcester Community. Factors to be considered include: exceptional leadership and commitment to voluntary community service volunteer efforts resulting in positive interactions between Clark University and the wider Worcester community demonstrated dedication, talent, and compassion of an individual resulting in positive change within the greater Worcester community outstanding role model of good citizenship John W.
