School closed to Year 1 pupils all day and Year 5 pupils in the afternoon
Dear Parents,
As you will be aware from the media Thursday 27th June 2013 is the
designated day for industrial action by certain Teaching Unions. There are a number
of different teaching unions but only two unions have declared strike action. This
causes difficulties for school organisation as on this day we have no alternative but to
close the school to Year 1 pupils all day and Year 5 pupils from 1pm. All other
year groups should attend as normal.
I realise that for some parents who may have one child in school and another
not in school it is a very difficult situation. However, we have no choice but to abide
by official guidelines.
