Dear Parents
NOTES FOR YOUR DIARIES:
MAY
Friday 22 May – School closes for the half term holiday with pupils returning to school on Monday 1
June.
JUNE
Tuesday 9 June – Class 2 Afternoon Tea. Parents are invited to come into school for tea/coffee,
cake and a chat at 3 p.m. Please send your child with 25p in a named purse/wallet so that they can
purchase a juice and a cake during the afternoon.
Saturday 20 June – Hockham Football & Netball Tournament in the morning. Please come along and
support our teams.
Monday 22 – Wednesday 24 June – CLASS 4 RESIDENTIAL VISIT TO HOW HILL.
Wednesday 17 June – Literacy Workshop open to all parents from 9.15 – 10.15 a.m. in each of the
classrooms. Please come along and see how your child is taught by taking part in a lesson.
JULY
Friday 3 July – Caston Football & Netball Tournament from 3.30 p.m.
Monday 6 July – Thompson Football & Netball Tournament from 2 p.m.
Wednesday 8 July – Maths Workshop open to all parents from 9.15-10.15 a.m. in each of the
classrooms. Please come along and experience a maths lesson with your child.
Tuesday 7 July (2 p.m.) and Wednesday 8 July (7 p.m.) – KS2 musical performance. Further details
to follow later.
Thursday 9 July - SPORTS DAY with carousel team sports in the morning from 10 a.m. and races in
the afternoon from 2 p.m. Families are welcome to attend and the Friends will be providing
refreshments during the afternoon session. If the weather is not suitable, Sports Day will be held on
Friday 10 July instead.
Monday 13 July – Year 4/5 Music Workshop with Thetford Voices parents are invited at 2.30pm.
Monday 13 July, Tuesday 14 July and Wednesday 15 July Year 6’s to Wayland Academy.
Thursday 16 July – OPEN SESSION in all classrooms – drop in from 3.15 – 6 p.m. An opportunity for
you to visit the classrooms and see some of your child’s work this year.
Friday 17 July – Individual pupil reports to go out to parents.
Monday 20 July – END OF YEAR AND LEAVERS’ SERVICE will be at 2 p.m. in St George’s Church. All
welcome. School closes to pupils on Tuesday 21 July and reopens to pupils on Thursday 3 September.
SCHOOL UNIFORM ORDERS. Parents will now be familiar with the process of on line ordering of
school uniform through the website www.stparent.co.uk. Orders are collated on the 1st of each month
and delivered to the school approximately 14 days thereafter. Please remember that if you want to
order uniform for September, orders should be completed on line, preferably by 1 June to ensure
receipt before the summer break as this is a busy time of year for uniform suppliers.
As always, if you have any concerns regarding your child, please do make an appointment to see the class
teacher in the first instance.
