Minute of Meeting 27th March 2014

ATTENDANCE: Jane Marks (Chairperson), Chris Watson (Vice Chair), Margaret McFarlane

MINUTE OF FEBRUARY MEETING: Proposed by M. McFarlane, seconded by J. Collins

MATTERS ARISING: None or dealt with as AOCB COUNCILLOR REPORT: None present

POLICE REPORT: PC George Hardie reported that for the month of March (to date) 56 crimes had been reported and 21 detected. The reported crimes included 3 drug related offences; 2 serious assaults; 10 theft – car and housebreaking; 10 instances of vandalism.

There were continuing concerns in the area about the levels of dog fouling incidents and about litter. Previous patterns of unrest in the neighbourhoods of Kingsway and Kirkton flats continue. Two initiatives were in place currently relating to road safety and car security. TREASURER REPORT: The account stands at £3768.73. No funding had been allocated for the current year and G. McQuilken offered to contact Stewart Burns to request information about the yearly allocation of funds to Scotstoun Community Council.

Area Partnership funding application form for SCC 2014-15 projects from Linda Hendry for completion by 6th May 2014 meeting of Area Partnership Team 13) minute of Whiteinch

Community Council meeting 19th March discussing ‘Commonwealth Connections’ event 14) email sent by G. Hendry to LES requesting officer’s attendance at SCC meeting (24th April or 29th May). AOCB: Proposals for follow up put forward at February meeting were discussed. • Costings for wall posters, banner and display boards discussed and agreement reached to further investigate suitability for purpose – J. purchase • Proposals for flower planters and railing baskets (Dumbarton Road) and

Stronvar Lanes planting in progress, awaiting final confirmation from LES • Area

Partnership Team funding application to be completed and submitted to meet 6th May deadline requesting funds to augment LES planter provision • Estimates for signwriting on new community noticeboards to be pursued and job allocated up to maximum cost of £500
