School Choir – a message from Mrs. Edom-Baker
Congratulations to our school choir who sang and behaved so brilliantly last Thursday whilst attending Westminster
Cathedral to sing in the Barnardos’ Christmas concert. The choir sang two songs, one of which was written by Mrs.
Clark and they were accompanied by Miss Barnes and Mrs. Clark. I would like to thank the children for representing
the school in such a positive way and for the contribution that they made to the evening. I would also like to thank
Miss Pike, Miss Barnes and Mrs. Clark for rehearsing and preparing the children and the brilliant team of parent
helpers who guided the children safely from one activity to the next. It was a wonderful day!
Snowman at Sunset
Congratulations to all the children who took part in a wonderful production of Snowman at Sunset. Thanks to all
parents and staff who made this possible and in particular to Mrs. Clark and her team who have worked so hard to
make this possible.
Chelmsford Cathedral
Congratulations to Miss Edwards’ class who recently attended a Christmas workshop at Chelmsford Cathedral. They
had a wonderful time there and the facilitators said that the children were the best behaved of all the schools they had
met! Well done Year 5.
Santa’s Little Helpers – A thank you from Morrisons
Thank you to Miss Pike and Miss Barnes and to Miss Godfrey and Mrs. Stephenson for taking the school choir to sing
in Morrisons this morning and the Year 6 pupils who did bag-packing for charity. Well done.
Thank you to FONS
Thank you so much to FONS for giving us a wonderful Christmas Bazaar last Friday. Thank you to those of you who
attended. It looks like our total will exceed previous years. We will let you know the final amount when all the bills are
in! Thank you also to Gill Thomas who has managed yet again to find us a grant from M+G for ICT equipment. It is
wonderful to have such a committed team of parents who are prepared to get involved on behalf of the children.
Thank you again.

Springers News
Now the winter nights are drawing in the children and staff have been enjoying some super indoor activities. The
children have had creative fun by making puppets and a theatre and making up shows. The children had great
pleasure in taking part in a wii tournament playing different games including bowling and cow racing. For snack the
children made their own pizzas with a variety of different toppings – yum yum!
Towards the end of the term we are looking forward to Christmas crafts and cooking. The staff at Springers hosted the
Christmas party and everyone had a great time. We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New
Year!

Santa’s Mail Box – Message from Mrs. Clifton and Mrs. Clark
Santa’s Mail Box will start on Monday 17th December. Please do not allow your children to bring in Christmas cards
before this date.
 Each card should have the recipient’s full name and class teacher clearly written on the envelope
 If your child has a number of cards for the same class it would be helpful if they were fastened together with
an elastic band.
 The Junior post box will be in the entrance hall
 The infant post box will be outside Mrs. Clark’s bay.
Thank you for your help.
