directed picture of the contemporary Romanian society. Mr. Şerban made a film where each shot is exciting.
He precisely expressed state of mind of his characters in our non-predictable presence and future and contributed again perfectly to the new Romanian cinema.

Bob and the Trees

The central character is Bob, a lively North American logger. His whole life is riddled with mistakes: in his
job, with his family and in his relationships. Nevertheless, he has the courage to take responsibility for all of
them, which allows him to transform his whole life into a message of hope. The film is simply told, but with
truth and honesty. Bob, the main character in the film, is played by Bob Tarasuk himself, who in real life is
a logger, not an actor.

Song of Songs / Pesen pesney

The Ukrainian film Song of Songs deals with spiritual issues in a very original way. The director Eva
Neymann uses stylized images to recreate the atmosphere of a Jewish shtetl at the beginning of the 20th
century which no longer exists. The biblical Song of Songs serves as background for the story of a young
boy’s dreams and childhood love.

It is with great pleasure that 2015 FEDEORA critics prize is awarded to two worthy films Heavenly Nomadic
and The Wednesday Child. Heavenly Nomadic is a film in the great tradition of ecological masterpieces, it
depicts a family in a far-off country trying to survive the encroachment of so-called civilization with humor,
warmth and perception. The Wednesday Child´s narrative arc, sure-handed directorial controls and persuasive characterisations from the two leading actors lifted this fine film well-above its recognisable storyline.

EUROPA CINEMAS LABEL AWARD
Babai

We are really delighted to award the Europa Cinemas Label to the feature film Babai, directed by Visar Morina. Babai is a moving yet brutally honest story of a ten year old boy searching for his father who has abandoned him for a new life in Germany. Unaware of the dangers, the boy attempts every possibility to smuggle
his way into Germany to be reunited with his father. Visar Morina's debut feature Babai, which is filmed from
the perspective of the boy, shows restraint and confidence in its depiction of the larger immigration theme and
in how it explores the complex relationship between a father and son who are in an impossible situation.
