Dear Parents, Welcome back and I hope that you have all had a pleasant Easter break and, on behalf of Mrs. King and myself, thank you for the Easter gifts (I am hoping to have cleared the fridge of chocolate by Christmas). The summer term seems to have come around extremely quickly and I am sure your children are looking forward to a fun and busy end to the year. We still have many topics to cover and I am hoping that we will be blessed with good weather as we have two trips booked: As a part of our historical / geographical study of London, we will be visiting the capital on Thursday 10th May to view the landmarks from up high on the London Eye before learning more about what we have seen on a guided boat trip on the Thames. In science, Mr. Moreton will be covering habitats and to fit in with this topic he has arranged for a trip to Hatfield Forest where the National Trust will be running hands on sessions for the children. With regards to homework, the timetable will remain as it was, though as I’m sure you will appreciate, this may change on certain days depending on what we are doing in school. As such homework will be as follows: Monday Maths Spellings Reading Tuesday English Tables Reading Wednesday Maths Spellings Reading Thursday English Tables Reading Friday Bond assessment Reading The following is a table of what kit is required each day: Day Monday Tuesday Wednesday Wear to School P.E.
