Dear Parents, Welcome back and I hope that you have all had a pleasant Easter break. The summer term seems to have come around extremely quickly and I am sure your children are looking forward to a fun and busy end to the year. We still have many topics to cover and I am hoping that we will be blessed with good weather as we have two outdoor trips planned: As a part of our historical / geographical study of London, we will be visiting the capital on Thursday 14th May. In science, Mr. Moreton will be covering habitats and to fit in with this topic he has arranged for a trip to Hatfield Forest on Thursday 4th June where the National Trust will be running hands on sessions for the children. Thanks to Mrs English, we have also been fortunate to secure tickets for the London Symphony Orchestra’s annual concert for primary school children and will be heading to the Barbican along with Year 3 on Monday 29th June. With regards to homework, the timetable will remain as it was, though as I’m sure you will appreciate, this may change on certain days depending on what we are doing in school. As such homework will be as follows: Monday Maths / English Tables Reading Tuesday Maths / English Tables Reading Wednesday Mental Maths Spellings Reading Thursday Bond assessment (by Monday) Spellings Reading Where possible, Turbo tables will be tested on Mondays and spellings on Thursdays.
