EXPERIENCE
Chris Barnet, President & Managing Director, Case
Commercial Real Estate Partners: Chris represents
and assists local, regional, and national healthcare
companies with managing their real estate portfolios.
His expertise includes market analysis, site
procurement, portfolio cost reduction evaluation,
consulting, and lease/contract negotiation for
companies within the healthcare industry. He is a
leader and a top producer in this field and instrumental
in developing and servicing material accounts. Prior to
joining the firm in 1998, Chris was the top producer of
the acquisition and disposition division for Southwest
Properties Group where he developed and managed a
national acquisition program for the firm. Previous to
that, he worked with Randy Heady and Company where
he was top producer and director of the local and
national tenant representatives division.

John L. Hummer, Vice President, Development &
President Steinborn TCN Commercial Real Estate:
Experienced healthcare executive with 17 years
experience in the investor owned acute care hospital
industry (HCA, UHS, TRIAD) leading hospitals in New
Orleans, Washington, D.C, Las Vegas and New Mexico.
Developed, managed and/or leased over 500,000
square feet of medical office space, $200 million in new
hospital development/expansion projects and over $30
million in physician joint ventures (surgery centers,
medical office buildings). John has served on state
hospital association boards and The Federation of
American Hospital’s board of directors. In 2006,
Hummer acquired New Mexico’s largest independent,
full-service, real estate firm. His commercial firm, TCN
Steinborn Commercial Real Estate has a specialty focus
on healthcare leasing, development and consulting.

Ken J. Stark, Western Region Vice President & President
of TCN Stark: Board member of Northern Nevada’s
largest hospital, Renown Health, Renown Businesses. 16
years experience consulting and performing landlord and
tenant representation real estate assignments in Nevada
and throughout the Western U.S. Acquired, sold, leased
or consulted on over 1,000,000 square feet of acute care
hospital, LTAC, outpatient surgery centers, physician
offices, dental offices, data center and HMO collection
and service call center space. Ken has served as Board
President, Care Chest of Sierra Nevada, a nonprofit
providing free medical supplies to those in need and
several other nonprofit boards in Nevada. Stark began
his commercial real estate career in 1995 after working 14
years with IBM in management, marketing HIS to
hospitals. In 2004 Ken founded Stark & Associates
Commercial Real Estate, an independent, full-service, real
estate firm. His firm, TCN Stark Commercial Real Estate
has a specialty focus on healthcare leasing, sales and
consulting.

Richard Smith, Southeast Region Vice President &
Healthcare Real Estate Advisor, Richard Bowers & Co.:
Richard Smith, Jr., CCIM joined the Richard Bowers & Co.
organization in 1987 and currently heads up the Medical Office
Division and the Healthcare Real Estate Advisory
Group. Specializing in healthcare real estate and medical office
building sales and leasing, he has worked with a wide range of local,
regional and national groups in Atlanta and cities throughout the
United States. In addition to representing physicians and large
medical groups in opening new practice locations Smith has been
on the leasing and marketing team for numerous medical office
buildings. As the Eastern Regional Leasing Director for Health Care
REIT (HCN) Smith was accountable for a portfolio of 18 medical
office buildings both on and off campus totaling 1.4 million square
feet. These MOBs were in locations ranging from New York, New
Jersey, the Carolinas, Georgia and Alabama. Prior to establishing the
Medical Office Division in 2006 and being promoted to the
Commercial Leasing Division in 1995, Smith directed the Richard
Bowers & Co. research department and, among other duties,
published the Bowers Digest – Atlanta Office Market Overview and
served as the head analyst for the company's Commercial
Investment Division.
