South African anti-apartheid revolutionary
and President Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was
born on 18 July 1918 (18-07-1918). We lost
this great man today, on 5 December 2013
(5-12-2013), at age 95.

Mandela’s death date, 5 December,
expressed as 5-12, or simply as 512, is the
highest-power date in each year. How?

Why? If 5 December 2013 is expressed as
5-12-13, then:
52 + 122 = 132!

Numerical Connection Between Mandela’s
Name and Death Date
Mandela’s death date, 5 December 2013, can be
written as:
5-12-13
Notice that numbers 523 and 11 are intertwined
to result in 51213. Interestingly enough, reverse
of one less than 523 is 225, which equals the sum
of the numbers assigned to the letters of Nelson
Rolihlahla Mandela [1]. Also, interestingly, 523 –
11 = 512 (again, 5 December).
