Whenever possible, we buy from local watermen, governed by the guidelines of the National Marine Fisheries. Quotas, size limitations, harvest methods, and harvest areas all ensure the long term sustainability of these fisheries.
In the global market, along with sourcing MSC certified species, www.msc.org
we have also partnered with processors that are engaged with conservation NGO’s such as
WWF ( www.worldwildlife.org
) and Seafood Savers. These organizations implement conservation measures for migratory species, as well as integrating sustainable principles for the fishermen, keeping the marine ecosystem and its resources safe. Our partnership with Trace Register also enables us to have full traceability of all of our resources, verifying species and methods of harvest are sustainable.
