TRAINING
•
In addition to my education (primary school and University) I also took
various language courses, mainly in French and English during the
summer holidays. Together with other youths of my age we formed small
groups and during 2 weeks we worked extensively (in morning and
afternoon sessions) on our linguistic skills, supervised by experienced and
qualified language teachers. These courses took place in Stavelot,
Hélécine, Waterloo among other places.

I also attended computer courses such as Access, Excel, Word, internet
in evening education sessions in Bruges.
GENERAL WORK EXPERIENCE

2003-2009 : For the last 6 years I have been working as a
professional translator, first “in-house” (from 2003 till 2005) and
since then freelance. I execute small, medium-sized and bigger
sized projects in a wide variety of fields going from information
leaflets for pharmaceutical companies, legal documents, birth
certificates, manuals for electronic devices and IT equipment,
stock market-related and financial documents, marketing texts,
customer satisfaction surveys etc. In a separate section (slide
nr. 7) I will elaborate more on my expertise as a translator.

1995-2003 : I worked as an administrative assistant in various
Belgian public administrations such as Riziv, RSVZ, RSZ. Data
input, file classification, general assistance of administrative
staff, type-writing were among my duties in these
administrations.
