Traditional Banking Applications vs. Specialized Banking Applications:
Traditional Banking Applications
All banks need to implement core banking systems that operate
very efficiently at high volumes. The Core Banking System
should incorporate functionalities for all base banking functions:
Deposits (Demand, Savings, Time)
Loans
Accounting
Traditional Banking Applications vs. Specialized Banking Applications:
Specialized Banking Applications
Once you have your core banking applications in place, you can
differentiate your bank by:
New Product Offerings
Effectiveness of your Marketing
Quality of Customer Care you
provide
To achieve these, you build systems ON TOP of your core banking
application, e.g. web-banking, SMS facilities, etc.
