Strategic Objectives



Support the development of a more highly skilled and qualified
workforce across D2N2 by improving educational attainment,
retaining more of our graduates (and attracting back our young
people who have studied elsewhere) and increasing levels of
workforce training and development.
Improve the alignment between the supply of skills in D2N2 and
employer demand by making the skills system more responsive,
ensuring young people and adults are better informed about skills
needs and ensuring all our young people have the opportunity to
acquire the skills and aptitudes they need for work.
Increase levels of employment by creating jobs and reducing
levels of unemployment and inactivity in our more deprived
communities.
