The barriers arising from different national legal systems. NEW ASPECTS OF THE EGTC REGULATION • The EGTC instrument will be now more visible. Good practices and wider public appearance of network-EGTCs can also influence the political will. • As the existing structures of territorial cooperation programme are solid, this mechanism will not be so often used to manage programs as we all expected. • Financial support for EGTCs has not been introduced in the new regulations and this issue requires further discussion. • The EGTC can be also a great mechanism to contribute to the development of the European macro-regions.
