Steps to get modules mapped
• Syllabuses of overseas module and mapped NUS module should
be similar in terms of contents, contact hours and assessments.
• Students should check the offering semester of the modules in
the host university, and plan the modules accordingly.

IMPORTANT “No-No”
• Do NOT leave the mapping process
till the wee hours before you leave. Plan
& seek approval in advance.
• Do NOT take an unapproved module
overseas and assume it can be mapped back to NUS.
• No withdrawal from SEP once finalized. An administrative fee
of at least S$300 (up to $500) will apply for withdrawal.
Returning from SEP
• Bring Transcript to ESP office to initiate the
Credit Transfer Process.
**important especially if the module taken overseas is the pre-requisite module of
those intended to read for the following semester. Students may not be able to
register in CORS if credit transfer is not completed.
