The partnership will take place between August 2013 and July 2015 and involves 11
European institutions.
The overall aim of the project is to encourage the adults to consider how
they relate to the children, to discover a wider range of tools and methods to solve
behavioral problems of children based on communication and positive discipline.
In this way, by improving knowledge, skills and self-esteem of adults (parents and
people who interact with adults: teachers, psychologists, school counselors), to
prevent the occurrence of serious behavioral and emotional problems of children.
To achieve this goal the following activities will be done: 6 project
meetings, seminars, documentation and systematization of information on
matters of discipline management development program to achieve positive
discipline skills, organizing 3 sessions for adults on positive discipline, achievement
of research to identify benchmarks and current practices on children’s education in
various European countries, identification of perceptions on effective methods of
disciplining children and establish similarities and differences, by creating an active
exchange between partners in terms of good practice in positive discipline. There
will also be organized dissemination and valorization activities, and monitoring
and evaluation activities.
Such a project is necessary because many parents and teachers do not have
the knowledge and skills necessary to manage children’s problem behaviors on the
development of positive relationships and mutual support and, in many cases, the
source for worsening of behavioral problems of children is the way parents and
educators know how to manage these problems.
The overall aim of the project is to encourage adults to analyze how they relate to
children and students to discover a wider range of tools and methods to solve behavioral problems of children based on communication and positive discipline. The
project aims to draw attention to the negative effects of corporal punishment and
verbal of children, and to promote raising children in a positive and non-violent
atmosphere in all environments.
