New Section 504 Tasks
Several new Section 504 tasks are available in SpecialServices to help you report students receiving services under a Section 504 plan. On the Start a New Task window, new 504 task template options are available.

You can add several optional forms to the Section 504 Plan and
Section 504 Eval tasks.
Note: You can add the 504 Procedural Safeguards optional form to any 504 task.

The EMIS Data Collection Form for Students with Disabilities now includes Section 504 Plan information. The EMIS extract also includes this information in the FD and FA records.

New Individual Service Plan Tasks
New Initial Individual Service Plan (IISP) and Review Individual Service Plan (RISP) tasks are available in SpecialServices to help you report students enrolled in a nonpublic school for whom your district delivers special education services.
These tasks replace the previous Service Plan (SP) task. On the Start a New Task window, new IISP and RISP task template options display, and the previous Service Plan template no longer displays.
Note: You can still open, edit and save existing SP tasks.

AIEP Non-Compliance Values
Values in the Non-compliance ID drop-down list in the AIEP section of the Special Education Events page and the EMIS Data Collection Form for Students with Disabilities now include only the valid values of blank and “** Not Out of Compliance.”
In addition, a clean-up script is available to run against your district if needed. The script updates any invalid AIEP Non-compliance ID values to “** Not Out of Compliance.”

Updated School Year for Tasks
The School Year field on the Start a New Task window now defaults to
2013-2014. In addition, when you select a Task Template, the Task
Name populates with the prefix of 2013-2014.
