We know from the story however, that he was
engaged to a girl named Belle. She broke the
engagement because he loved money more than her.
She had no dowry to bring to the marriage.

of the only people that Scrooge loved.

 It’s hard to say how much that is in today’s money, but it could be
about two dollars.

 Tiny Tim is a “cripple” or as we would day it today, handicapped.
 We do not know what was wrong with him, but some scholars
believe that it was renal tubular acidosis. This is a kidney disease that
occurs when the kidneys fail to excrete acids into the urine. This
causes a person's blood to remain too acidic. The result can be
growth retardation, kidney stones, bone disease, and progressive renal
failure.

 The Ghost of Christmas Present is the one who spreads good
cheer with sprinklings from his torch.
MARLEY SAID:
“Regrets cannot make amends
for one’s life’s opportunities
misused.”
SCROOGE SAID:
“The happiness he gives
is quite as great as if it cost
a fortune.”
TINY TIM SAID:
“God bless us everyone!”
SCROOGE SAID:
“I will honor Christmas in
my heart and try to keep it all
the year.”
