There will be five groups: Science- Ms. Gallegos Social Studies- Ms. Mendoza Art- Ms. Buckner PE/Health- Mrs. Chavez Math Tasks- Mrs. Grimes Groups will be levelized based on District assessments and teacher observation. Homework Homework will be given on Mondays and collected on Fridays. It will be placed in their Homework folder and returned to folder. Please label folders clearly with your child’s name. First quarter will be first and last name writing practice, letter formation, and high-frequency word practice. Review games will be provided for at-home practice. Second through fourth quarters will be writing, math, and high-frequency word practice. • Should not be longer than 10 minutes of practice nightly in addition to reading practice. • Any unfinished class work may be sent home to complete. Class Rules Walk slowly. Sit in your seat. Raise your hand to talk. Share with others. Be nice! Discipline Policy Green= Successful Scholar Card: your child had a great day and will receive two Warrior tickets. No card= Your child made good choices and will receive one Warrior ticket. Yellow= 1st Warning Card: your child made some poor choices and will not receive a Warrior ticket Pink= 2nd Warning Card: your child is continuing to make poor choices and will be getting a note sent home regarding behavior. 20 Warrior tickets can be turned in for a trip to the Treasure Chest! Attendance Encourage daily attendance Notify the office of absences immediately and bring a note upon return to school. Tardies Send to office after 8:10 EVERYDAY COUNTS! At school on time, and ready to learn! Parking Lot Safety Do not leave vehicles unattended in drop off zone. Park if you plan to get out. Drive slowly in parking lot and school zone. Keep a lookout for pedestrians. Follow the directions of arrows. Watch out for speed bumps! Cross the street at available crosswalks only. Volunteers Volunteers are welcome at all times!
