Currently we have less than 30% access to portable drinking water and less than 20% sewer sanitation services which is way far below. The Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources, Energy and Water has a management structure that will address environment and sanitation issues. In the ministry we will have the County Executive, CEC ENREW, the Chief Officer, CO ENREW and two directors; that is the Director of Environment, Natural Resources and Energy And The Director of Water. The ministry will retain the three water companies that existed before the incoming of the county government though we will re-organize the service delivery system and performance TOR. Our envisage management strategy of the three companies is that we will have the County Director of Water in Nakuru County to oversee the quality of service delivery.
