Reference Nuclear HR Development in the EU (potential) Candidate Countries 2014-IET-A-1 IET Enlargement and Integration Action (workshop, training) JRC Institute Institute for Energy and Transport Objectives, policy relevance and content of workshop The workshop will address the importance of developing a system to monitor the Human Resource Supply through Universities and the Need from Nuclear Stakeholders. The European initiative EHRO-N will be presented and collaboration possibilities discussed. Developments since the first workshop in 2010 will be discussed. Also attention will be given to the European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) scheme and its application to the nuclear energy sector. Date, place and duration September / October 2014 Ljubljana (SI) or Trieste (IT), 2 days Deadline for application 01/07/2014 Target deadline for results of selection 16/07/2014 Participants profile S/he should be working in the area of human resources development or education and training in the nuclear area and could come from the Industry/Utility/Regulators (or any other nuclear energy stakeholder), from University or representatives of Public Authorities (e.g. with special portfolio in the area). Country of origin of participants Focus on participants from: New EU Member State; EU Candidate Countries; EU Potential Candidate Countries; Framework Programme Associated Countries; on an ad hoc basis European Neighbourhood Policy Countries and Russia.
