Once you have finished your book you should then try to log in and complete a quiz. Use the instructions that follow to help with this. Your username is usually a combination of the initial of your Christian name and the first 4 letters of your surname. Click here for pupil log in A PUPIL’S GUIDE TO QUIZZES From the Accelerated reader menu select the ‘Start Working’ option. A PUPIL’S GUIDE TO QUIZZES You will be able to search for your book from the next screen using details from either the author’s name or the title of the book. A PUPIL’S GUIDE TO QUIZZES You can then select the book you want from the list of cover images on the next screen and click ‘Take Quiz’ when you are ready to start. A PUPIL’S GUIDE TO QUIZZES From the next screen select the ‘Reading Practice Quiz’ option. The software will also want to know how you read the book. If you read it on your own then your response will be ‘Read Independently.’ If it was a book you have studied as a class text then your response should be ‘Read with’. A PUPIL’S GUIDE TO QUIZZES This should allow you to start the quiz. Select the correct answer from the options given. There are no time limits on your responses in this quiz. A PUPIL’S GUIDE TO QUIZZES • Once you have finished the quiz there are different displays to show your progress. • The ‘Progress’ button will show detail on the statistics from your completed quizzes with a word count and your book level. • The ‘Bookshelf’ button will display cover images of all the books you have completed to date. A PUPIL’S GUIDE TO QUIZZES At the end a report will be given on screen giving you details of how successful you have been and how many words you have accumulated so far this year.
