Completing events
You will need to complete a
folder with information about
your event. It should include
research, planning, carrying out
the event and an evaluation.
Introduction
• Your introduction must be clear and
detailed.
• You should include what you have been
asked to do at the start.
• Describe your team – who is in your
group?
• How did you decide what your event will
be?
Research
• When will your event take place?
• What are the aims of your event – who
is it for?
• What do you intend to do? Why?
• Complete a spider diagram of different
events that you could do.
• Decide as a group which one is best and
give reasons for your choice

place and give reasons for your choice.
• Discuss why other areas within school
are not suitable for the event.
• If you need photographs of specific
areas please let me know so I can
arrange for these to be taken.

your event.

• Not just the cooking but think about
the way you serve the food

all times

free from hazards
• Check your time plan and ensure you
have everything ready for the event
• Check that everyone knows their role in
case anyone is absent

• Show safe working practices
• Think about how you feel before the

• After the event write about it so the
moderator knows what you have done
• Include how you felt before, during and
after the event
• Think about customer satisfaction
• This should be at least one side of A4

your practical work with evaluations and
