1. A good folder should contain…
You will need a total of 12
credits to pass the CoPE
Qualification
LEVEL 2: At least 6
Section B or C
challenges
The rest can be a mixture of
Section As, Section Bs and more
Section C challenges
LEVEL 1: 12 credits
from any combination of
Sections A, B, and C
(up to 6 of your credits can come
from other ASDAN short courses
and Awards)
1. A good folder should contain…
You must have a complete set of
PDRs + evidence for each:
Working With Others
Improving Learning
and Performance
Problem Solving
Research
Discussion
Oral Presentation
For example, if you have two WOs,
but no R, you will not get the
qualification!
2. Taking the folder apart
Assessment Checklist
First thing on top in your
folder
Must be completed,
signed and dated right at
the end of the process
Folder of
PDRs and
Evidence
Your CoPE
Booklet
2. Taking the folder apart
The file references on
the Assessment
Checklist…
e.g. The evidence for Working
With Others can be found in
Section 11C Planning Sheet 11C1,
Doing Sheet 11C2, etc etc
…must match the file
references on page 4
in the purple book
2. Taking the folder apart
Every Section C
Challenge has to be
described in box
provided. Mention the
SKILL you are
developing as well as
the ACTIVITY
…and make sure your
tutor has signed and
verified it
2. Taking the folder apart
Page 5 is a record of progress,
showing how you have
accumulated enough credits to
be awarded the CoPE
qualification
It is vital that you record the total
number of credits achieved in
this box, tick Level 1 or Level 2,
and, again, get a signature from
both student and teacher + date
If you have got credits from other
ASDAN short courses, awards or
agreed credits from other sources
(Work Experience logbooks, etc.),
write down the total credits here.
Also, write this into the table on page
56 of your purple book
2. Taking the folder apart
When the folder is checked by
ASDAN, it is so important that
each of the sets of PDR sheets
and evidence can be found
easily…
Working With Others
Improving Learning and
Performance
Problem Solving
Research
Discussion
Oral Presentation
2. Taking the folder apart
…and that the reference numbers
on the evidence match the
reference numbers on page 4 of
the purple book, and the
Assessment Checklist
Working With Others
11C1, 11C2, etc…
Improving Learning and
Performance
5C1, 5C2, 5C3, etc.
Problem Solving
1C1, 1C2, 1C3, etc.
Research
12B3, 1,2,3 etc
PLEASE DO NOT
COPY THE CODES
SHOWN HERE!
Your evidence might come
from different sections of
the CoPE Book
Discussion 2C1, 2C2 etc
Oral Presentation
1C1, 1C2, etc.
3. Inside a Pile of Evidence
First, you need the
mandatory PDR Sheets
(available on the
secure area of the
website). This is an
example of
Working With Others
PLAN sheet
DO sheet
REVIEW sheet
Witness Testimonies
3. Inside a Pile of Evidence
Then organise the rest
of your evidence
Planning sheets,
research notes,
first draft, rough
work
Diary or log
of activity
Pages that show
you have been
thinking about the
skills you are
using e.g. WO
what role did you
play in a group
meeting?
Chairperson?
Note taker?
Time keeper?
And of course, a final
outcome
Please note that all work in plastic
wallets must be visible for moderation
purposes (i.e. wallets should not
contain more than one double-sided
sheet, or two sheets back to back)
