A Quick Definition…
An ePortfolio (short for electronic
portfolio) is a collection of multimedia-rich,
linked documents that students (and
perhaps faculty, programs, and/or
administrators) compose, maintain,
synthesize, and develop over time.

Schools or departments will be able to
assess student progress in a definitive
manner.
 Students will be able to develop online
showcases of their work at NNU and
create resumes that can be customized for
potential employers.


Tk20: ePortfolios and More
Several NNU departments are now using
a web-based application called Tk20, an
assessment and reporting system.
 In addition to tools to manage field
experience, create reports based on
student progress, and much more, Tk20
includes an ePortfolio aspect.


Access

Login to the NNU Tk20 site at
http://tk20.nnu.edu with your NNU
username and your ID number.
Notice the tab to access video tutorials,
and the link to purchase your Tk20
account (unless you have prepaid a fee
along with your tuition).

Home Page
Pending Tasks – Links to assignments
you need to complete.
 Preferences – Change your password, set
color theme, etc.

You won’t see all of these tabs.
Pending Tasks will be things to
complete from your program or
courses.

Courses Tab
Tk20 assignments will show here,
presented by course.
 Sometimes, these will be surveys or forms
that you must complete related to your
progression through your academic
program.
 Other times, these will be related to
assignments you completed in class.


Artifacts Tab
Edit Folders – Create a folder structure
here based on your courses.
 This will help you
organize your

Portfolios Tab
Eventually, you will build a portfolio that
showcases how you met the standards
outlined for your program.
 You will draw upon files you uploaded on
the Artifacts tab and other items to make
this happen.

What Next?
Log in to Tk20, at http://tk20.nnu.edu.
 On the Preferences page, change your
password.
 On the Artifacts tab, begin building your
folder structure.

