Topic: Hadi Has A Hat
Focus : Writing

Teaching Aids : Modelling clay, sand, flash card

Learning Objectives :
By the end of the lesson, pupils be able
to :
1.drawing simple strokes up and down
a) in the air
b) on the sand
c) on the desk
2. Form the letter using the modelling clay
3. Write in neat and legible print
a) small (lowercase) letters
b) capital (uppercase) letters
4. Write 3 /5 words correctly
Activities :
Warmer up
1. Do the action for the phoneme /h/ and ask pupils to
identify the phoneme.
Presentation
2. Demonstrate drawing simple strokes up and down in
the ai, on the desk, and on the sand
3. Pupils follow.
4. Pupils work in group of 3.
5. Each group will be given a a flash card ( upper case and
lower case) Teacher introduces the letter. (Appendix 2a&2b)
6. Each member takes turn to trace the letter on the
flashcard using their finger.
7. Pupils play a game, Guess Me??
a) In group, a representative will look at the letter shown
by teacher secretly.
b) Then, he /she write the letter on his/ her friend’s back.
c) The second member continue on the third member.
d) The last person will write on the board.
Practice
8. Teacher distrubutes modelling clay to the pupils and give
instructions.
9. Pupils form the letter using the modelling clay ; upper case &
lower case.
Production
10. Pupils write the words in the exercise book (five lines book).

2. create a simple book called ‘My Little H Book’
Activities
Warmer Up:
1. Pupils sing the song ‘Hadi has a hat ‘ with actions. (Appendix 1)
Presentation:
2. Teacher prepares the booklet for each pupil.
3. Distribute a set of pictures to each pupil. (Appendix 3)
4. Teacher demonstrates on how to make the mini book.
5. Pupils colour their pictures.
Practice
6. Pupils cut out the pictures. ( Teacher remind the pupils to be careful with the scissor)
7. Teacher distribute the booklet.
8. Pupils paste the pictures in the booklet.
Production
9.Pupils show the mini book in front of the class.
10.Teacher displays the pupils product.
Consolidation:
11. Sing the song again. b. Pupils sing the song with actions.
