for life insurance cases through a variety of vendors.
If your case is:
• For $500,000 or less (or if you use APPS: $10,000,000 or less) and
• An applicant age 18-60,
It couldn’t be easier to submit to underwriting.

And the best part? You don’t have to do a thing. Just choose which
vendor to use and the electronic paramed request will generate
automatically.
Who are the vendors?
Take your pick from any of the following, including
strategic preferred vendor APPS.
- APPS Smart Paramed
- SMM (Superior Mobile Medics)
- EMSI (Examination Mgmt Services, Inc.)
- Hooper Holmes iParamed
Underwriting - Exams
We worked with a variety of vendors to make it easy to complete an
electronic exam, including:
• Electronic signature functionality
• Exam will be received “in good order” within minutes of completion
• More detailed medical history up front may result in less APS
(attending physician’s statements) being ordered by home office
• Alcohol and drug questionnaires are available electronically, along
with HIV consent form
Case Status
Waiting is the hardest part. Keep an eye on your cases as they go
through our processes.
