A World Without Math By Nelson Hurley Why do we need it? Believe it or not, we use math every day. We use it to count out how many items we need at the store, to count how much money we need to buy the items, and the cashier uses math to figure out how much change you need math is literally everywhere! Where else do we use math? We use math to build houses by measuring each board and measuring the degrees that the walls are set up, and to make sure whether or not its 90 degrees, without math, we wouldn’t have sturdy houses. What else do we use math in? • We use math in just about everything, in things that are built and in things we do people use math to make games, computers programs, and phones - math is used in every career. So what would the world be like? We wouldn’t have any houses or buildings we wouldn’t know the earth is a sphere, without math, we may as well be living in a cave hunting animals with spears, Oh Wait…we wouldn’t know how to make the spear tip because it’s a triangle and we wouldn’t know what that is! Just think…no birthdays, time of day - WOW What a nothingness….
