THE ZIGGURAT OF UR Unit 3, lesson 6 - A Ziggurat to the Gods ZIGGURAT - a stair-stepped temple The temples were made of mud-bricks. Inside each ziggurat was a place for a statue of the god and a place for the priest to bring the offerings. Sumerians believed the gods lived in the temples. The people believed the gods communicates their wishes to the priests in the ziggurat. (page 64 in your Student Pages) Please answer the questions in your breakout rooms.
